Troubleshooting Crashes, Installation and corrupt Saved Games

* Unload all other mods.

* Run under DX9 if running under DX11.

* Delete all previous versions of Faerun and Faerun Art Assets from the MODs folder.

* Delete the cache (C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache)

* Load from a discreet saved game, never an autosave.

* Update to the most recent version of Civilization 5 (1.0.3.276)

Beginner barbarian Orc axe unit animations for movement and attack/defense crash the game, dx crash. Only way I've found around it is to disable the animations prior to the turn it happens on. I'm running correctly as indicated with dx9 et c... Any ideas to fix this? I love the animations and the game is a different game without them.

I had the same issue a lot of the previous commenters had where this mod wouldn't download or show up in the in-game mods list, but I was able to get around it by downloading the art assets directly from here and putting it in my mods folder: https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/faerun-art-assets.23349/

Same as others, V.6 doesn´t work. Will Faerun run with Assets v.5?

I downloaded the mod, but it does not load in the mod list. There must be some bug in the mod ...
I restarted the game but did not upload to the list ...

I really want to play.

OK, I unzipped the Art Assets file with 7-zip and can now run the game - next issue: the game, when I load it, crashes most of the time. Basically, this is probably the most ambitious mod of all civ and could definitely show the way how civ could develop, so it's quite a shame that it's not working out. Anyway: the mod is awesome, at least.

If I subscribe the Art Assets, an empty civ5mod file with that name will be downloaded and the game crashes.
If I unsuscribe the Art Assets and put the civ5mod file (with almost 100 MB) into the MODS file and start the game, the Art Assets never show up in the Mod collection and the faerun mod cannot be enabled.

I downloaded this and the other Faerun mods, this is the only one that won't show up for me. I can navigate to the cache but the art assets are not in there. Is there another workaround?
