⚠️Please read installation instructions!⚠️

CATO V4 is finally here! Reworks 120+ locations in the game to be more realistic and beautiful! Does not expand locations and is 100% vanilla friendly <3

-----Installation-----
1. Check the Troubleshooting thread before installing! If you experience floating buildings, clipping buildings, or any other issues you are most likely using an incompatible mod.

2. To prevent CATO from automatically updating I recommend manually installing the Nexus Version[www.nexusmods.com]. This will prevent CATO from updating and creating clipping issues for users who do not import their save often.

3. Make sure CATO is at the bottom of your load order at all times! This is essential to prevent bugs. Do not use CATO alongside other mods which edit the same locations.

4. *Import with "Import Buildings" un-checked is required on any existing save!* This will delete any player owned outposts or buildings. This is also recommended any time an update has been made to CATO.

CATO does not modify any squads, characters, or town overrides, and is designed to match vanilla buildings 1:1. Please report inconsistencies.

CATO modifies a few building swaps to allow vanilla assets to be used more effectively.

CATO modifies overlays to allow foliage to avoid the new roads. To accomplish this I had to set all roads to be invisible to not cause duplicate textures to bake into the map, this allows CATO to serve as a base for other mods to add new roads without causing textures to bake in multiple times and cause visual glitches (Example can be seen in vanilla on the border of Flat's Lagoon and Shem).

CATO adds the same foliage removal values as FASTR. I highly recommend using both mods together.

Is there something wrong with Bastion? Everyone in town is experiencing strange display glitches. I've carefully checked the mod list, and no other mods besides this one have modified Bastion.

Update: Importing my save and trying to remove/rebuild parts of that right side didn't seem to solve the issue. I ended up removing the level data for Squinn from the mod, importing again, then deleting the leftover longhouse. I rebuilt it nearly identical and, so far, it hasn't had the same issue it had in the CATO variation. Still can't be 100% sure it's a CATO issue, and not just Kenshi being weird. Still love the majority of CATO either way.

@mykomark I actually started this process last night. It's a tedious task finding room for all my crap, dismantling everything, and marching elsewhere, so I didn't get it done yet. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Forgot - after saving leave the game (full leave not just go to the main menu).

@Mitsurugi if it not always work try to leave that area competely (after removing - dismanting).
Save the game and come back to your longhouse (but leave the area far enought to the point where game has to load the city).

@Laughing Forest I am pretty sure the only Scaraw mods I am using are PSO, Performance Fix, and Engine Mesh Updater. This issue seems to be unique to CATO. I haven't had issues with Longhouses till CATO. I tried removing anything on that line, and it's still bugged. The act of dismantling an item seems to fix it sometimes... It's really weird. Now loading a save doesn't always fix it...

@Mitsurugi Not sure if you use it but there’s a Building Collision Fix mod I think by scaraw that actually broke longhouses for me and made (some of) them unable to enter.
