Welcome! This is my treasure. Amalgamation was not enough to hold me, so I decided to develop a few skills & abilities to go with them.

With help from the MEME comunity, this was possible.

Dragon32's solution appears to have fixed the issue for me.

You can try deleting my modshadercache, since it is only there because modbuddy hates me and i can't compile without it

Try renaming and copying over another mod's *_ModShaderCache.upk

Try and find a 371 byte one. Back in the early days there was bug where these cache files would balloon needlessly, I'd copy a blank one from another mod over a problematic one and things would still work OK.

I might fiddle with putting it somewhere else in the load order, using the config files, and see if that alleviates the issue for me. I'm running over 1600 mods, with my own config fixes/edits (ie: typos, incomplete lines, redundancies, and personalized balancing) for over 200 of them...so I expect to hit a snag now and then.

Is this actually necessary? I just checked my logs, and that file is the only shader cache file that prints an error. Opening it in a text editor also shows it as plain text (";A configuration File"), whereas other SDK-generated shader cache files are proper packages.

That file is just a dummy file that is there so the game loads the other upk packages.

Receiving this warning in the log, there is no crash, but loading does not proceed beyond this point.
