Overview
Proper 2K UI Enhanced builds upon the original Proper 2K UI Project mod to better align with the original Europa Universalis IV interface design. I’ve cleaned up the project and organized the removed assets into submods for flexibility. Below, I’ve listed the types of new changes that Xyarvius and I contributed to the mod:
  • Adjusted text and UI elements positioning for a more visually appealing layout, preventing overlap.
  • Enlarged several windows to better fit larger fonts.
  • Fixed most progress bar glitches.
  • Fixed tutorials.
  • Enhanced important UI windows, such as the Holy Roman Empire (HRE) and Emperor of China (EoC) windows.

This is a standalone mod, so there's no need to download the original version.

Will I make a 4K version of this mod?
TL;DR: No, I don't see myself doing this.
Long explanation: All the improvements I've made to this mod were done by playing the game, noting down everything that wasn't optimal, and eventually fixing them in my free time. There's no automation for this; everything was done manually. So even if I were to scale up the current version to 4K, there would still be a lot of work involved, and I can't invest my free time in doing it.
Later edit: You might want to try using this mod along with the game’s GUI scaling feature and adjust the scaling to a value between 1.2 and 1.3. It’s not a perfect solution, but it could help improve the overall experience.

Does it work with 1920x1080 displays?
Not by default
Here are the steps to make it work (For NVIDIA):
  1. Open NVIDIA Control Panel.
  2. Expand "Manage 3D Settings" and click on "Manage 3D Settings".
  3. Under the Global Settings tab, scroll down to "DSR-Factors".
  4. Check the box for 1.78x (2560x1440) and if not already selected "DSR-Smoothness" for 33%.
  5. Now right-click your desktop and select "Display Settings".
  6. Under Display resolution, select 2560 x 1440 (2K).

Hi there, I just tried your mod and I really like it!
However, I’m running into a small issue. Maybe it’s because of the unofficial Korean language patch I’m using, but the loading screen messages and the date display in the top right corner of the game show up broken or garbled.

Everything else seems fine, so I’m not sure what exactly is causing this.
If needed, I’d be happy to contribute to a Korean version by helping with translations. But just to be clear—I only know how to handle translation work, nothing beyond that.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

@Yen_lo_wang A little trick is to use the localisation/replace folder and create your own custom translation file with the _german.yml suffix (you can use this mod's localization structure as an example). That way, you only need to reference the labels you want to modify, rather than the entire file.

In `EU4_l_german.yml`, I changed all instances of “Rekrutenreserve,” but that didn't change anything in the province overview. I also searched the other localization files without success.
