Artificial Beings Framework [ABF]

A framework using Harmony and Humanoid Alien Races (HAR) to allow for inorganic beings ranging from elementals and ethereals to constructs and robots. This frameworks is designed only for Humanlike or Animal intelligence pawns, and has neither functionality nor interaction with mechanoids.

This mod itself does very little except pave the way for other mods to have inorganic colonists. I use this in my own submods, such as Mechcloud Chemwalkers and a few other mods that will soon be released to steam. It is designed to be extensible and able to be worked with in xml, meaning other modders will be able to use it as well if they wish.

The successors to my other 1.4 mods are contained in the Synstructs collection.

Want to translate ABF to your own language? Submit a Pull Request on GitHub (accessible from the discord). I make no guarantees that languages besides English will have mistakes corrected in a timely manner.

  • No content included in this mod - a framework that enables content but does not force anything onto players.
  • Reliance on mod extensions for extensibility and xml access.

Yeah nah, because in my modlist, ANO was actually before ABF, as in higher in the list.

This reminds me that I never did figure out why that happens. People have previously reported that putting Automatic Night Owl before my ABF mods in the load order will fix the issues and thus can keep both active. That might not be true anymore, though, as it's been several months since reported.

Oh yeah, just in case people are still having problems making a synstruct and ended up having most of their UI and pawns missing - there's an incompatibility with Automatic Night Owl. Remove that and you'll produce em correctly.

Synstructs cannot be put into warcaskets, correct. There is currently no provided means of changing that. It was not intentional for them to be able to be put into warcaskets at any point.

Hi! Great mod, always loved the android mods, but I got a quick question: In older versions one could put an android/synstruct into the warcasket foundry from the VE pirates mod. But now it tells me, that syns cannot use the foundry. Is there some way to change that? I miss my army of unstoppable killer-droids :-(

I'm using Mod medcine patch and this might occurs an error with yours. sorry for wrong info. :(

I think you and I spoke over Discord and found a resolution to this problem. Just noting that here in the comments so others know it was resolved.

I've not had any reports of currently existing issues between RimHUD and my mods before. My own tests with RimHUD indicate that all is well - my medical care patches coexist with the UI on both normal animals and my own biomimetics without any errors and with all functionality present. Are you sure this is a problem between ABF and RimHUD?

Hello, I am using your mod along kotor and [ap] skeletons. I don't have droids yet (but had one in a caravane at some point).
