描述
This is an unofficial update of one of the best mods ever. I only changed literally four files, so I'm not in any capacity responsible for this mod.

Temporary update for Windows mod "https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2571189146&searchtext=windows". Rimworld already looks like psych ward let's no take windows away to make it similar in 100%!

Please note: This update is made with the utmost respect for the original creators, Owlchemist and jptrrs. Should they express any concerns or request its removal, I will comply immediately.

I don't play with mods mentioned in compatibility so I don't give any guarantee they still work.

This is a fork and continuation of jptrrs's Open the Windows.

Creatively named simply Windows, this mod just allows you to build the novel invention of a hole in the wall to allow some natural light and air in during the waking hours.

Changes in this fork
Performance overhaul: Every line of code has been reviewed and updated to any of the latest techniques available to improve performance. Tick pressure is around 5x quicker than before, along with reduced memory use, optimized texture dimensions and load processing times.

Seamless textures: Windows are seamlessly linked into the surrounding wall textures. Seamless edits were made by Yap, with further modification by me as well as including any missing textures.

Balance adjustment: All windows can now be made of any material walls can be made of, at a cost of 5 * tile (same as walls) + a fixed cost of steel for the window bits. Reinforced windows are made of plasteel instead of steel, locked behind a new technology, and they have been rebalanced to no longer be stronger than solid walls, but rather nearly as good as them.

This mod has tight integration with the following mods:
Glass+Lights
Just Glass
Dubs Skylights
Expanded Roofing
Raise the Roof
Better Pawn Control
RIMMSqol menu integration
Below are some notes on other mods with outstanding issues I'm aware of:
Real Fog of War: Some harmless errors are produced on a save and reload.
Rimthreaded: Lighting issues.
Combat Extended: Works, but not perfect. Pawns can shoot through sealed windows.

OK, SO, while i still do not have any pathing issues as other people here do, I have found another thing that broke in this "update." Using it in combination with Dub's skylights causes problems. If a window's light and skylight overlap, the roof becomes bugged. You need to keep them separated.

They did not attempt to build a roof as "no path," so this seems ok?
I used Rimpy to sort it into my list. So far, so good.

I know the risks. I am attempting this mod. So far, pawns do not attempt to path into the windows. The Outdoor needs seem to be ok.
The light overlay (options) does not work with Dub's skylights anymore.
I spawned all the windows in dev mode (rustic, regular, reinforced, in various sizes) and so far so good. I can not get them to path into it while drafted, and they dont seem to want to go through them on their own. Waiting on pen animals. Going to build a room with no doors, only windows, and see if they try to roof it over...
