Opis
Many requested a standard handgunners unit for Cathay to go along with their other more specialized gunpowder weapons Cathay had. And while i personally am not a fan, like with my former go to unit peasant swordsmen that i'm no longer a fan of but will keep up anyway. I've decided to make one anyway for you guys though i wont be including it in my modpack when i finish my last unit.

Pros: Higher unit count, cheaper, slightly better melee stats.
Cons: No shield, lower range & damage, no shield breaker, lower melee defense.



And yes i intentionally went with the ironhail gunners animations instead of the empire ones. Aside from the reload clipping, it looks better.

As im currently in the final stages of a course project and almost have 0 interest in playing wh3, i'm not really able to update it atm. Might update it next week tho.

I now get a crash when I try to load the game with this mod
wh3_default_land_ranged_infantry_main_light_backlinecth_crane_handgunners in table cdir_military_generator_unit_qualities_tables and pack file cth_crane_handgunners.pack

Hope its an easy fix. This mod makes me enjoy cathay so much more

Hey wonderful modder. Would it be possible to give those units the new rifle banner that was added with the Thrones of Decay so its easier to differentiate them from other gunpowder units?

I echo the Jade version! I tend to run most of my playthrough on the back on the jade army and would love to have a simple handgunners version to go with the vibe

Thank you so much, you wont believe how long I have scoured through the workshop for a simple mod like this one. Cathayan handgunners. Without any weird bells and whistles but with actually cathayan looking guns. And not part of a 30+ unit pack from some random chinese modder with no translation. (nothing against Chinese modders you guys are crazy competent)

My one request would be to make it also recruitable for allies. Currently that does not appear to be possible (or I am too stupid to see them)
