Split research by tech level.

IMPORTANT: this should be loaded near the end of your mod list

Features:
  • All tabs are removed update: For 1.6 there is a new Harmony patch, options are coming
  • New tabs for each tech level
  • New Animal (dummy) research

Tech levels:

  • Animal (renamed from Main)
  • Anomaly (it's a special tab)
  • Neolithic
  • Medieval
  • Industrial
  • High Tech
  • Silicon
  • Spacer
  • Ultra (used by Royalty and mods)
  • Archotech (only used by mods)

Anomaly: at this time I'm leaving the Anomaly tab, no changes should happen to the tab or it's research

Note: High Tech tab will include all projects requiring the Hi-tech research bench, Silicon includes all projects requiring a Multi-analyzer

Note: in vanilla RimWorld, Ultra tech level is only available for DLC content

For some reason the animal tech tab has vanished. It worked before, so I have no idea what's happened.

Looks like Light Alpha Mechs didn’t make it in correctly. Looked at the list with Dubs and it was still in the Alpha section.

Hi, I noticed there is no Animal research tab. Both when only this mod is loaded and when using Vanilla Factions Expanded - Tribals. With VFE - Tribals it causes issues as it has Animal level research.

The mod description says the Animal tab is renamed from Main, however when hovering over the Neolithic tab, it gives the description the Main tab gives in vanilla. So it seems like the Neolithic tab has been renamed from Main.

The Anomaly Tab is also in between Neolithic and Medieval, which seems like an odd place for it to be.

Added a specific patch for alpha mechs, also split the research for biotech moving projects in the different industrial tiers.

I seem to have the same issue as @Samurye. I didn't check other mods, only Alpha Mechs, sorry I don't have the time. Only the latest Alpha Mechs tech is visible for me.

@Samurye this might be caused by how some mods organize their researchDefs, if you know exactly which mod is the culprit I can add a specific patch

On 1.6 I have the issue of some research projects simply not appearing. Specifically, I can't see any of the early Alpha Mechanoid tech tiers. I am using the Organized Research Tab mod as well. I'm running an extremely large mod list, so I figure it's probably just a matter of having too many techs to fit on the screen. My main questions are: Does this sound like a natural consequence of having too many mods that add techs, or is it a bug? Does this mod have an option to make the tech screen bigger that I'm just not seeing? Alternatively, is there another mod that I could add to the list that might show a bigger tech screen or otherwise help me to access the options I can't find?

@zenlor I'm on 1.6 and at the time of posting yesterday it was still there. But if there was an update after that then I'll have to check again.

@Kianyx the new Assembly should take care of it, if you are still on 1.5 there are options inside the XmlExtensions tab (the + I think).
If you are on 1.6, there must be an error or another mod is breaking my patch (then, again, there should be a log)
