you should've heard some of the nonsense on the radio here in the uk at the start of the palaver. I've run out of fingers to count how many times they've "deployed 99% of its military" or "run out of missiles".
The VDV had 35k troops at the start of 2022, at most around 500 were KIA/WIA around Kiev as less than 1k were deployed in total
I swear you guys have such a childish understanding of war
" OMG, I SAW A CONVOY OF DEAD VDV SOLDIERS ON REDDIT SO THAT MEANS THE ENTIRE MILITARY BRANCH HAS BEEN WIPED OUT! "
The VDV has obviously taken more casualties since, its been 3 years and the VDV have been the main defenders in Kherson, Bakhmut and Kursk, but still, they're professional soldiers and they're used rather carefully. Normally they come in and cleanup after Storm Z/Wagner troops have softened up targets or they're used to secure important flanks
