Voxel Framework

Omschrijving
A personal project of mine that's been in the works in some way or another for the last 6 years, finally on the workshop.

What this is is a framework combining an editor, model system and base entities that enable you to create, upload and use models made out of voxels. In multiplayer, in real-time.

To get started, simply spawn the voxel editor entity from the spawn menu and the rest should explain itself.

Features
  • A fully-featured model editor, including attachments and the ability to save straight to the server. Updating existing models without having to reload anything.
  • Model importers for .kv6 (voxlap), .vox (MagicaVoxel[ephtracy.github.io]) and .mdl files through the data/voxel-import folder
  • Full multiplayer support for everything. Want to make weapon models with your friends? You absolutely can.
  • Included weapon base and some classic guns you might be familiar with if the words Ace of Spades mean anything to you.

Basic Controls
These controls and more are available in-game in the voxel tool's instructions popout

  • Primary Fire: Left Mode Option
  • Secondary Fire: Right Mode Option
  • Use (Hold): Alternate Tool Mode
  • Reload: Open Interface
  • Shift + 1-6 OR Use + Scroll: Swap Tool
  • Shift (Hold): Rapid Fire editing

Developing
Check out the Wiki[github.com]. For weapons the process should be fairly straightforward if you've worked with other weapon bases before.

The map featured in some of the screenshots is gm_combine_onslaught_v2

Check voxel_list to see if your model is listed there, files should either be in garrysmod/data_static or garrysmod/data/voxel to be recognized

making it invisible makes the voxel art invisible aswell and when i use voxel_prop command it just gives me the error Model doesnt exist and i made sure letter by letter it was correct and i saved it to server

You should be able to color it invisible with the color tool, otherwise there's the voxel_prop command that spawns a prop version of a model loaded on the server
