Thanks to Sir_moodz/peaceman for letting us use his bronze cannon script to add these guns

This mod adds naval guns for all your victorian age needs. All guns except for a few of the anti torpedo boat guns are functional



APHE mostly 20% less accuracy & penetration as the AP shell & 10% more drag
HE 20% less accuracy & 20% less penetration than the APHE - 40% more explosive - 30% more drag
20-30% difference in accuracy between smoothbore/roundballs and shelled guns

AP best ammo to pen. armor - best accuracy
APHE a bit less pen., good accuracy + explosion, less range than AP
HE low pen., okay accuracy, very good explosion damage, less range than APHE

If you cant go through the armor with APHE, its better to switch to AP.
APHE makes more inside damage, kills the crew and blows up wooden blocks.
HE blows up every unarmored block. So its good against "wooden" deck buildings like masts, towers, unprotected decks. Kills a lot of unprotected crewmebers. Can be used as coastal arty.

Smoothbore cannons just use rounballs & fused explosives.


currently mid. armor thickness for battleships per cannon-period:

Early 1860s = 25-50mm (Paixhans, 68 pdr (they dont really have strong effects against armor))
1860-1870s = 50-100mm (RML 10-17'', 110 pdr, Brook Rifle, Dahlgren 11-20')
1880-1890s = 100-150mm (BL 6''-13.5'')
(dont forget: We are speaking about steel plates, not iron plates. Also for gameplay-reasons, blockcount & survival comp. we balanced to guns to th aviable armor plates.)
