AEW | Armed UN Intervention

In the face of a dire situation on Altis, where Agon's grip tightens over the eastern regions, the UN Truce Observation Force In Altis And Stratis (UNTOFIAAS) has urgently conveyed the need for a more armed intervention. In response, the United Nations has mobilized a force consisting of Canadian, Nigerian, and Chinese marines. This group, known as UNMA (United Nations Mission in Altis), is tasked to restore order to Altis.

In this critical situation on Altis, where Agón tightens its grip in the east, the UN Truce Observation Force In Altis And Stratis (UNTOFIAAS) has urgently called for a more robust intervention. In response, the United Nations swiftly assembled a formidable force, UNMA (United Nations Mission in Altis). Comprising Canadian, Nigerian, and Chinese marines, UNMA's mission is to restore order in the troubled region.

Simultaneously, the Freedom and Independence Brigade (FIB) plays a crucial role in maintaining security. FIB, with around 700 fighters and a range of vehicles, defends government-affiliated towns, enforces the law, and provides civil defense and aid. FIB's roots can be traced back to the Freedom and Independence Army (FIA), with its evolution from a paramilitary movement to an officially recognized force within Altis. The FIB's strength lies in numbers and cooperation with the National Altis Army, making them a formidable opponent on the field. While UNMA focuses on intervention, FIB plays a vital role in local defense and stability. This multinational coalition and the dedicated FIB represent a combined effort to bring peace and stability to Altis through international cooperation and local contributions.

The mod adds the following factions:

The United Nations Mission in Altis (UNMA) is a multinational peacekeeping force formed to address the crisis on Altis, Comprising Canadian mechanized units, Chinese support/logistics teams, and Nigerian motorized forces. While all three contingents handle logistics, they bring their specialized expertise to the mission. UNMA's mission is to restore order, protect civilians, and provide aid. With a strong command structure and modern equipment, UNMA collaborates with FIB and NAA for security and stability in Altis, symbolizing international commitment to peace in the region.

Formed as an armed auxiliary to the Freedom and Independence Party and as a rival to Agón, this force of patriotic citizens and FIA fighters was nationalised by President Panagopoulos following the outbreak of the civil war. The FIB sports older uniforms and bits of in-stock Government kit, achieving a more professional look than Agón counterpart. Supplied only by a mix of old weapons stockpiles and member-purchased arms, the FIB lacks the specialization and firepower needed to rival a professional force, but their numbers and cooperation with the NAA makes them a formidable opponent. FIB forces are usually seen defending towns and patrolling Government territory due to their lack of training and status as a paramilitary, leaving offensive maneuvers largely up to the more professional NAA.
