UTHI SH Series

描述
Gay and trans rights are human rights. If you're against gay and trans rights, you're against human rights. Actions to violate human rights are always crimes against humanity. Those who are against human rights should be excised from your life, and any communities and groups you consider worthwhile, just like any other tumor.

NOTICE: It is highly recommended you turn off "train rotation smoothing" under Gameplay, when using these. They'll look rather wonky moving around curves otherwise. The model size has been corrected, positions in trains in saved games will need to be adjusted, and any livery you've made for these models will need to have the overall length, wheels offset, and coupler offset corrected.

UTHI shocked the world in 1959 and then again in 1964 when they introduced the SH series.

SH608BB / SH608D - A monster of a locomotive, the SH608s are technically two LR306s combined onto the same frame with a span bolster bridging the two hoods, creating a 6000hp locomotive. The SH608BB rides on four B trucks, and the SH608D rides on two D trucks. Designed, from the outset, with the intention of offering a more powerful model, the SH608s have a bit of empty space in the secondary hood. At the beginning of the production run, UTHI was attempting to pitch the idea of massive, trans-continental passenger trains, pulled by double locomotives like the SH608D, and offered it with steam generators and A2A trucks, though the Distribution System never requisitioned such a massive passenger locomotive. Like any UTHI locomotive with more than one prime mover, the SH series was designed to run with only one prime mover active, cutting the power to a still respectable 3000hp for the SH608s, when the full power of the locomotive was unneeded. Indeed, some train crews were known to get the train up to full speed and then shut off the cab end prime mover, greatly reducing the noise and vibration the crew would experience. The rebuild program stunned the world again, as these locomotives became the SH808BBR1 and SH808DR1, with 8000hp.

SH708BB / SH708D - It is unknown why the SH708s were delayed for five years, but in 1964, UTHI unveiled this 7000hp sibling to the SH608s. Some railroad crews half-seriously joked that they worried that the sheer brute force of the locomotive might damage the rails if they accelerated too hard, a worry that seemed to grow when the rebuild/upgrade program turned the SH708s into the SH928BBR1 and SH928DR1, with an almost frightening 9200hp.

A design program is on the drawing board, with a goal to rebuild SH series locomotives into less powerful fuel-electric hybrid locomotives, filling the cab-end hood with batteries and electronics to produce SH368E and SH528E locomotives.
