Total Population: Billions, if not trillions, or possibly even more. These things live on literally every barren rocky planet in the universe.

Description: They are supposedly the first living things to arise in the universe, although not what we think of when we think of life. They are composed of multiple small crystals (which type, specifically, is unknown), each with their own life force flowing through it. If you want to kill one (but why would you want to), you have to actually physically destroy the shards. If something happens and this "creature" is hit with enough force to fly into pieces, the pieces, assuming they weren't shattered during the impact, will burrow themselves into the ground, feed on minerals, and eventually grow a whole new body. While Crawlers can swim, albeit not very well, they tend to avoid water as if they were Raquis. They appear to have a language of some sort, although it is completely and utterly untranslatable without the help of Translation Scarves.

They grow in size by feeding on minerals, and theoretically have no size limit. They could literally grow to planet size if we let them.
