Description: In the present day, various Zemplix "species" already exist, although the differences between them are so subtle that one likely wouldn't even notice them.

But if we do the Next Earth thing and travel into the future, we meet the mysterious Damoplix. In the present day, a somewhat remote desert world named Draylak houses a population of Zemplix who can see things no other Zemplix can see. Why, exactly, this affected their evolution is unknown. One hundred thousand years from now, the ability to see these things has caused their normally-blue color to shift to purple, their tail spikes to go from one pair to two while their tail itself also waves in almost hypnotizing patterns, and for them to perpetually be levitating. Somewhat amusingly, regular Zemplix rarely actually fly, despite having not one but THREE sets of high-powered mechanical wings. I guess they never really feel the need to use them.
