 混穿能量高斯炮/PierceEnergy Gauss Cannon 
zh:
慢射速,高精度,高爆发,狙击炮
同时对护盾和船体造成高额伤害
并造成10%---20%的能量贯穿
贯穿能量会对船体造成穿透,并以被穿透部件为中心造成约20%范围衰减伤害


注释:感谢Jeff的技术帮助,如果没有他的帮助这个mod很可能会夭折

Slow firing rate, high accuracy, high explosive, sniper cannon
Cause high damage to both the shield and the hull at the same time and cause 10% -20% energy penetration
Penetrating energy will cause penetration into the hull and cause a 20% range of attenuation damage centered on the penetrated component

Like Speecker below said. Both APDS and Pierce here seem to break turret tooltips showing anything for all turrets with advanced turret tooltip info.

Both APDS and Pierce (and any other custom type) are "Fake" Damage Types that will always throw such an error if there is no actual enum it can refer/call to and implementing an actual new DamageType would require access to the databank (which is password protected) and/or the source code. So ye adding a custom type natively is indeed not possible (at least for now).
I still would have done it another way to avoid error log messages as it is just a stylistic visual renaming of the damage type without being an actual different one as it is now.
Besides that your mods look pretty decent under the hood never the less.
I found some convos on the AvoDiscord talking about this too.

APDS has no issues; at least, community members have had no problems using it so far. It's likely caused by a conflict with your mod.

Yes, the game does not natively support mod authors adding new damage types, but this can be worked around by skinning over existing mechanics, though it may cause conflicts with some mods.

Guess it is just incompatible with Detailed Turret Tooltips as this weapon mod comes with its own custom UI ?

Tooltip seems to not work (at least for german or english localization)

There seems to be a current bug with this mod, tested it alone with no other mods loaded.

When encountering pirates/xsotan they will spawn in as different factions and attack each other. Makes encounters no fun whatsoever. Good weapon, not sure what is causing this to be an issue but wanted to make the author aware

Hello.
same thing, if I have this MOD, the weapon turrets disappear from the equipment stations. I only have the Denes mods for the turrets, some "Quality of life" mods and ships. that said these last two types of MODS do not modify the weapons files of the game in any way...

I made a squad of fighters using this turret but they don't fire their weapon at all, if it's not intended it's a but, if it's intended then a warning in the description would be welcomed
