The Cinematic Backgrounds mod replaces the background videos of the main menu with in-game clips that have been touched up and edited with color correction and post-processing effects to give the main menu a more subdued, atmospheric, and somewhat ominous feeling.

The Cinematic Backgrounds mod has many companion mods to replace the default music of the main menu with more fitting themes and sounds. To provide as much choice to you as possible, the Cinematic Backgrounds mod itself does not contain any music replacements. They aren't necessary for the mod to function, but they are part of the full intended experience. The links to the companion mods themselves are below:

This mod was designed to be used with the Listed Style Menu (No Logo) mod by Dingus. You can still use this mod if you don't wish to install that mod, but it might not look as good:
