Dr. Eggman

Dr. Eggman, also known as Doctor Robotnik, from the Sonic series comes to Rivals of Aether! Piloting his Eggmobile and coming in with moveset full of references to various Sonic games, Eggman makes for a great Heavy fighter!

Neutral Special: Power Laser
Dr. Eggman charges up the Power Laser from Sonic Adventure 2! This move charges slowly, but it becomes a powerful laser beam at full charge. Power laser will also charge up as Eggman damages opponents, parries attacks, etc.

Side Special: Lock-On Missile
Eggman uses a targeting laser to lock onto opponents, projectiles, and other objects. The laser can be aimed slightly up/down, and missiles can be fired by releasing the button! You can also cancel the move and store targets for later.

Up Special: Abandon Ship / Jet Engine
Eggman uses a jet pack and quickly escapes from his Eggmobile while it self-destructs. The Eggmobile can hit opponents as it explodes, similar to Bowser Jr's up special. This is also the primary way to enter Mechless State, and can also be used while mechless.

Down Special: Egg Pawn
Eggman summons an Egg Pawn (or an Egg Flapper if he's aerial) with the press of a button! Normally he has 2 Egg Pawns, but Eggman can summon more if given time. The robots are easily destroyed however, and destroying them will make the cooldown longer. This move can also be used while mechless.

Mechless State
Eggman has a full second form called Mechless State! After leaving his Eggmobile with up special, Eggman will be left mechless. While mechless, Eggman has different stats (such as less jumps and lighter weight), and a limited moveset. He can slap with the attack button, kick with the strong button, and has access to 2 specials (up and down special).
Pressing neutral/side special will re-summon the Eggmobile and give Eggman his full moveset back.


Eggman comes with his own stage; the Egg Carrier!
- Eggman has a ton of special voice clips against specific Sonic characters (such as Sonic himself, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Silver, Rouge, Chaos, and more)!
- If Eggman misses certain attacks, you can hit him afterwards for extra damage!
