Description
This version of Silent Hill 1 by Leafo will be continuation of what PopTheseFools has started. From now on, I'm taking over the campaign and will provide you with active updates, so if you're still subscribed to ANY other versions of this campaign, you should unsubscribe/delete those completely, before trying this one.

My goal is to keep the campaign alive by providing updates to fix existing and arising problems, while preserving the campaign overall to be as close to what it originally was, so your feedback is invaluable. With this release, I push fixes to most problems I'm aware of. Be sure to report whatever I may have missed. Check out the changelog if you're interested.

Silent Hill campaign is based on the game of the same name on PS1.
Warning: This is a very long campaign with dark and foggy envienronment, containing puzzles. There are 12 chapters and 4 random endings. A full average walkthrough may take up to 3 hours to complete from start to finish.

If you've never played original Silent Hill game on PS1, I suggest starting on Normal or Advanced difficulty at best, since it's natural to get lost here. Having someone in the team, who played the original game will provide huge advantage, since navigation, item spawns and puzzles are mostly the same.

Enable in-game instructor in multiplayer options if you need hints on the puzzles. This will make your life a bit easier, however, do not expect to get the solutions or directed exactly where to go.

Gamemaps version[www.gamemaps.com]. Both Workshop and Gamemaps versions are compatible with each other. But you must manually download Gamemaps version again each time I release new updates, otherwise you'll get string table differ issue.

OK, now we know what you think. We don't know what you mean by 'decryption', but we do know you failed to turn on Game Instructor. The important thing is that now you're aware how bad such a campaign could be you're able to go and make your own far superior version. We'll be over here on the edges of our seats.

Even if you restore the original decryption, you should have L4D2-like excellent guidance and decryption ideas in L4D2, without prompting anything, which is extremely bad for players who have never played Silent Hill.
To me, this map is a piece of rubbish. It has no feeling of L4D2, and I don't see any features of Silent Hill.

As far as I know, this error happens when the local version is different from the server version. Delete ALL versions of this campaign, download it again and make sure the exact same FILES are on your hard drive that are on the server. Once this is done, go into Steam and Verify the L4D2 game cache files. Also, make sure you are not using any modified game files, such as cfg files which enable cheats. If this still does not work get back to us.

I cant seem to get to work on my server it keeps saying string data not correct. i have now deleted all files in my server temp, willl try now but i need help if this doesnt work.
