Introduction

This mod simply add passive skill to High Magic users that can unlock at rank 12 called 'Mastery of High Magic' which reduce abilities cooldown for 10 second and give 25% Spell Mastery for 12 second after casting any spell.

Lords and Heroes that include in this mod - Mage(Lore of High Magic), Archmage(Lore of High Magic), Eltharion, Teclis, Alarielle The Everqueen, and Belannaer from mixu's mod is also include.


The idea behind this mod is because I like playing Archmage in Return of Reckoning (Warhammer Online) and actually like the High Magic mechanic, which separate between offensive/defensive spells, and buff player casting speed and increase spell potency of the opposite spell type after successfully cast the first one. I tried to replicate this mechanic but it is too complex for my current modding ability to pull it off (I actually just learn how to mod like 5 hours ago, so... yeah... It wasn't perfect).

I also plan to do a similar passive skill for each lore of magic in the future, such as lore of fire(and Dark) which give more spell potency, but instead of reducing cooldown, it increase both cooldown and miscast chance, or even cause damage to themselves at higher tier(in exchange for more spell mastery). but as you can see, I am new to modding and still learning how to play around with modding tools. so it may took some time.

Anyway, I am sorry for any spelling or grammatical mistakes, English is not my first language and I still learning.

Update 1.0.1 - Added new skill tier that can be unlock at rank 20, which grant new ability called 'Wrath of Hoeth' that deal a short burst of damage and debuff enemy unit. Good damage against blob of low armour infantry, but super weak against high armour and single entity unit.


Update 1.0.2 - Buffed Wrath of Hoeth AP damage so that it still useful in late game, and added new skill tier that can be unlock at rank 30 that grant skill 'Cleansing Light' which basically a shorter version of Star of Averlorn, but also resurrect troops. Can be use 2 times only. (I actually think that 1 use is op already)

Hi I think your mod is conflicting with the Teclis Can Fly mod since they both occupy the same skill node.

@sharif516947 Thank you for reporting this. I think it is because I messed up with the Effect table in last update so that the level 2 skill does not enable the previous passive. I will take a look into it soon.

Thanks for the mod. Just an oversight I think, when I rank up the mastery of high magic skill, I lose the previous skill. Level 1 gives me the spell mastery passive, but when i get level 2, I get wrath of hoeth but lose the spell mastery passive.
