Mod Description
Inspired by the dropships from iron harvest, its designed to work as a alt history WW1 helicopter or as a easily mass producible post apocalypse heli for fallouts NCR. Designed to look old, makeshift, ramshackled, & vulnerable, its not ideal but it gets the job done. It can carry 20 passengers in the caravan + 1 pilot in the "cockpit". The pilot also doubles as the vehicles gunner, able to turn of the darter drone controlling it and have the KA-137 engines safely & gently bring the whirlybird to the ground on their own, allowing the pilot to focus on protecting the vehicle and its occupants with any small arms they have on them. Though NOT implemented in arma do to its limitations or my lack of knowledge, i like to imagine its limited more by weight then capacity, being large and heavy while having small engines with small rotors not designed for this. This would make it able to carry 20 light infantry but maybe only something like 12 heavily equipped troops or just a couple soldiers in power armour, though again this is just my head cannon for it, in the game you will be able to fit 20 of any unit in the seats ever if there so big they clip threw each other or the vehicle if you desire.

(NOTE: It is controlled by a darter drone, so you will need a UAV terminal to pilot it, however to can use a UAV terminal in the pilot seat, or any of the others.
Also, the KA-137 engines cannot be turned off/ on manually, to have the whirlybird with its engines off have it spawn at ground level, to have it spawn with its engines on have it spawn in the air. )


How To Modify
All scripts (codes) to make them work can be found in the objects or units init box. Also, all units & objects called upon by the scripts have a name. If you wish to change somethings name you must make sure you also change the name in any script that uses it. If you wish to make a minor change like replacing one unit or object for another, all you need to do is copy & paste the scripts and name from the object you with to replace into the object your replacing it with. The same goes for major changes that could possibly replace every object. If you want to make multiple of the same type, you will also need to change the names of any object with a name and any name in its scripts relating to it.

Questions & Answers
Q: Why isn't this "mod" showing in the launcher/ how to spawn it?
A: This isn't a "mod", its just a composition, and wont show in your launcher. You'll find this composition in the editor, once there you need to press the groups key or F2 then click on the composition icon. last pic in the slideshow above will show were that is.

Q: Why is it spawning all broken up?
A: You need to click off Vertical Mode & Surface Snapping before spawning any comp, last pic above shows were to find it. Also rotating it in the editor can cause it to come apart.

Q: What maps were used for the pics?
A: Dillingham county, Alaska (Aftermath)
New Vegas, Mojave (Aftermath)
jungle skirmish (East Asia War, 1937)

Q: Why is it controlled by a drone?
A: Due to the odd nature of the design, no helicopter would work as a base.

Q: Why does it come with 8 vehicles?
A: Its enough to transport a entire company of light infantry, or spares if your transporting less. there is no difference between the whirlybirds.

Known Bugs & Issues
- drone auto pilot is broken do to the design
- comes apart if rotated in the editor
- the KA-137 engines cant be turned off/on manually, spawn on ground for engines off and in the air for engines on
- AI struggles to find their way out of the caravan
- can flip and clip threw the terrain during crash's, killing everyone on board

Just out of curiosity, what mod was used to get the Carrier shown on the 14th image?

yes its needed for the tractor part. that mod may have stop development 8 years ago but it & its assets aren't going anywhere any time soon ; ]
