MMCT - Power Rework, Cables and Stuff

Descrizione
This mod was originally a few slight changes to vanilla, and eventually expanded into a bit of a monster, the original vanilla alterations are available under Mortal Melee Combat Change.

This mod adds a fully fledged power grid system, complete with cables/wires, substations and a slight change to capacitors.

If you want to use or remix parts of this mod in your own, please do contact me either on steam or discord, my username is the same across both.

And, also, if you want to review the mod on youtube (or somewhere else), do send me a link when you're done, you aren't required to, though, I just like seeing other people's thoughts on the mod :)

Current Part List
Substations - These blocks can pull power out of cables and send it to surrounding blocks.

Cables - Blocks which can spread power between themselves, which can be pulled from by substations. Two types exist, corridor cables and armored cables, which are both pretty useful.

Capacitors - Vanilla blocks, but they work like cables now, and will equalize power amongst themselves, pretty neat innit?

Modular Reactors - This is a set of parts that allows for the creation of larger scale reactors that can directly feed energy into the grid at excessive rates.

Nuclear Core - A 1x2 block that generates an endless amount of heat.

Steam-Water Pipes - Akin to cables, but for heat, they can move heat across a reactor system.

Turbine - Turns heat into power, which can be sent to an adjacent transformer

Transformer - Instead of a robot in disguise, it's a power output in disguise, they take reactor power and feed it directly into a grid at a rate crew can't hope to match.

FAQ:

Q: Why can't I power X part?
A: If that part is from a mod, then it's because the mod author has chosen to make that part not reference 'base_part', which makes it unable to receive power from MMCT, GA's PAC is a very notable example of this.

Q: Why isn't the transformer outputting any power?
A: The transformer can only take power from the Steam Turbine, and it will only output power into grid components (Cables and Substations), it will not deliver power into parts.

I love the Idea of the HV cables, but their current functionality makes them almost useless it seems atm you can only pull a single step-down's worth of power out of the HV cable due to the directionality of the cable
can these be made to connect to step-up/down transformers with junctions like how steam pipes have?

That's the part idea mentioned earlier, it would be easier to balance.

*Power
Not heat, thermocouples generate power

Realistically the waste heat of a system wouldn't necessarily be enough to drive a turbine. However, it would be entirely enough to put through a thermocouple, which is designed to make heat out of a differential.

Consider that heat transfer isn't 100% efficient, it would be perfectly fine to have it be an ineffficient but cheap secondary source of energy recycled from the system

@Wandering Stars
That would be entirely possible, however, I don't know how balanced it would be, as you'd essentially get "free" energy out of parts. It would need to be a very small amount of power generated per heat unit, and could be combined with an existing stirling engine part idea.

After just checked, MMCT is entirely functional in the new update?

can this be updated plz

it needs to be updated
Radiant Gravel 12 ago, ore 7:07
If this were to get an update would be possible to utilise waste heat to generate power with turbines? After all it's just boiling water, i think it would make sense to use the heat in the network to generate extra energy
