SledBuild Remastered



Welcome to SledBuild Remastered or (SBR for short). This is a complete rework of the original SledBuild gamemode created by G3X back in 2010.

In SBR you compete against other players by building your own sled and then racing each other on a racing track, the first one to cross the finish line wins!

SBR is based on the original SledBuild gamemode, it keeps the original rules and restrictions. The idea is to keep most of the original gameplay while adding new features like time trials, and custom maps.

Development
The development of SBR is still in progress, and in an early stage, so expect some bugs and glitches. If you find any, please report them in the official Discord server.

SBR is also meant to be open source, so if you want to contribute to the project, you can start by visiting the GitHub repository here[github.com], there you can find the source code and the issue tracker.

In the GitHub repository you will also find a guide on how to create custom maps for SBR if that's what you are looking for.



Credit
Although SBR is a complete rework of the original LUA code, at the beginning a lot of inspiration was taken on how this gamemode was coded (I didn’t know anything and needed a lot of reference). So it’s the right thing to acknowledge the original contributors.

hello, i am having light complications with the gamemode, i select the gamemode, and when it loads and i go to start the timer, nothing shows up, its as if i was still in sandbox (i can ensure it was in the correct gamemode), is there a button or a keybind? thanks for the help!:steamhappy:

Life without sledding is a life without a purpose. My life was spiraling into depression and debt, but after spending my last 10 dollars for gmod I found this gem. Just after 1 hour I felt a change in myself, I felt motivation to create. After that I built the white house, the international trade center, big ben, every single castle in europe, the pyramids, and my house. This mod is truly life in a nutshell.

Hello! The SBR gamemode and map work just fine, maybe you forgot to select the correct gamemode when starting a game! If you need help with understanding how to select a gamemode in GMod I can help you with that! Just let me know.
