Welcome Everyone!

This mod is a port of my Reiksguard Griffon Knights unit from Total War Warhammer 1 & 2. I hope you enjoy using it but feel free to tell me what you think and leave constructive feedback so i know what's good and where things could or should be improved :)

1. General Description:

This mod adds another unit to the Empire's Reiksguard Order:

Reiksguard Griffon Knights

"The Reiksguard's answer to the growing threats around the Empire. The newly formed griffonrider regiment strikes fear in the hearts of the Emperor's enemies, when their mighty war griffons descend upon them."[[/i]

Pros:
  • Griffons
  • Great mobility
  • Forcefull impact when landing
  • Devastating area attacks against infantry
Cons:
  • Small regiment size because taming griffons is a long and expensive process
  • Vulnerable if left alone or focused by the enemy
  • High recruitment and maintenance costs as griffons are difficult to tame and keep.

Factions:
  • Reikland
  • The Golden Order
  • Cult of Sigmar
  • The Huntmarshal's Expedition

Recruitment:
They can be recruited at Castle Reikguard in Altdorf or any Reiksfort after building an armoury (rank 2).

2. Base Stats:

Their base stats are as follows:
  • Stats:
    • Ultra Unit Size: 6
    • Cap: No Cap
    • HP: 8118
    • Armour: 120 (Shielded 35%)
    • Leadership: 80
    • Speed: 90
    • Melee Attack: 60
    • Melee Defense: 41
    • Weapon Strength: 146 (61 normal + 85 AP / area attack against up to 10 targets)
    • Charge Bonus: 62
  • Costs:
    • Cost: 2000
    • Upkeep: 525
  • Attributes:
    • Causes Fear
    • Causes Terror
    • Encourage
    • Can Fly


3. Technology and Skills:

The unit does receive bonuses from unlocked technologies and skills, which are roughly a mix of the ones which empire cavalry units and reiksguard receive.

Just tested it and it works for me currently for anyone whos concerned :). results may vary but for me its working!

Hands down one of my favorites if not THE favorite mod in all of total war. making a full doomstack of these (my poor treasury! T_T lol), is a true experience to behold you dont know true power until you do. haha. expensive and balanced? absolutely. even when you get into late game and have all the eco in the world, youre NOT going to be fielding multiple stacks of these guys. is it worth it? YES. you may not be fielding alot of these... but you wont NEED to. just ONE of these doomstacks will single handedly steamroll and wipe out an entire nation. your economy is going to cry when you first try to scrounge up the funds to get them but they're worth their weight in gold.

@Gauntlet same for Wissenland and Nuln. It would be awesome to be able to recruit if you have the landmark in Altdorf.

@Nox is this perhaps a possibility to mod in? Would be great to use this awesome mod for more Empire factions in campaign :)

I cannot seem to recruit these when playing as Gelt, I have no problem when playing as Franz however. Perhaps this is intentional?

hey Nox for some reason the "armoury" isnt a building i can build. what table do i need to remove from the mod to be able to recruit the unit?

Hey themobgobbler, the last update was meant as a quick fix to the breaking changes introduced by 5.0. However the scaling issue should now be fixed as well.
