Play as the Vladika of Montenegro, Petar II Petrovic-Njegos; in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.

The Montenegrins share their origins with the Serbs, both hailing from the Slavic migration towards the end of the migration period. There have been small principalities and imperialistic Serb polities, but Montenegro has always held an unconquerable reputation. The nation is largely mountainous, hence the name 'Black Mountain' in Italian. With a nation that is all hinterland, neither Ottoman Turk nor German were too keen on holding it for long.

STRUDELER'S CIVILIZATIONS: MONTENEGRO
  • Part of: From the Varangians to the Slavs Expansion.
  • Requires: Gathering Storm.
  • Is multiplayer compatible.

    LEADER: NJEGOS
  • Trait - The Mountain Wreath: Cities with a Holy Site or Theatre Square build the other district in half the time and gain +20% Production towards buildings in the other district. Shrines gain 1 Great Work of Writing slot and Amphitheatres gain 1 Relic slot. Units within 2 tiles of a Holy Site or Theatre Square gain +5 Combat or Religious Strength.
  • Agenda - Vladika: Likes civilizations with high Culture and Faith. Dislikes civilizations with low Culture and Faith.

    CIVILIZATION: MONTENEGRO
  • Trait - Examples of Humanity and Bravery: Completing a Tier 1 building in any specialty district grants 10 Faith and heals all units by 10 HP (on Standard Speed).
  • Alt Names - Crnagora, Duklja, and Zeta.
  • Spawn Bias - Grassland Hills/Grassland Mountains (Tier 1), Plains Hills/Plains Mountains (Tier 2), Tundra Hills/Tundra Mountains (Tier 5).

    CIVILIZATION UNIT: LOVAC NA GLAVE
  • Unique Recon class unit. Cannot be produced or purchased. Is created in the Capital when a Manastir is produced. Gains Combat Strength equal to the strongest unit that has been produced. Defeating a unit within 2 tiles of a Tablja will heal +15 HP, heal an additional +50 HP when within 7 tiles. Can build the Tablja unique improvement.

    CIVILIZATION DISTRICT: MANASTIR
  • Replaces the Neighbourhood. Available at Mysticism. Always costs 75 Production. City can build 1 more district than the Population limit allows once completed. +3 Housing. Campuses and Holy Sites gain standard Science and Faith adjacency from Manastir respectively. Producing a Manastir grants a Lovac Na Glave in the Capital. +2 Appeal. A city can only have one Manastir.

    CIVILIZATION IMPROVEMENT: TABLJA
  • Occupying unit receives +4 Defence Strength and automatically gains 2 turns of fortification. +1 Science and Faith in the Capital. Military and religious units within 2 tiles of a Tablja that defeat an enemy unit heal +15 HP, Lovac Na Glave will heal an additional +50 HP if within 7 tiles. Cannot be destroyed by disasters. Cannot be built next to another Tablja. A city can only have one Tablja and cannot swap a tile with a Tablja. Must be built on a hill or mountain tile.

I don't think he meant the serbian part in a bad light, back then historically montenegrins considered themselves serbian. Duklja, zeta.. all montenegrin states that called themselves serbs, including their kings. It was only in more modern times where the idea montenegrins aren't serbian started arising.. montenegrins are montenegrins but we can't really deny the facts of history we have a blood blond with serbs generally.. thats what i think he meant historically speaking its not meant to offend anyone and neither am i. just simply going off of what history has said.

@Luke it promotes a narative of serbian nationalism with it straight up calling us serbs and using the 4c as the unique building for the civilisation. thats a serbian simbol.

Dear @tabblk,

Thank you for your kind words. I have already began my large Indian expansion project with Pakistan. Either Ceylon/Sinhalese or modern Sri Lanka will appear. Right now the only Indian civs in the works is Hindustan (Mughals) and a certain Dravidian naval oriented civilization. It may be a while until we get to Lanka.
