I wonder if this is possible to do in Alien Swarm. It doesn't have the teamdisplayhud.res file like Left 4 Dead but surely there's a way to make it vertical due to pre-release images of it having the portraits be vertical, much like what this mod is doing.

Urik, I need the advice from an expert.
I'm trying to merge and modify HUD mods for personal usage and maybe (if I get the permission from the authors) publish some of the merged mods for other people.
But I'm failing at some things and I thought that I can ask for help so I can get them working.
Would you please help me?

@xFallenAvenger nope, that isn't really something I can control. The reason it doesn't get reduced in my HUD is because it physically spans all the way to right end of screen, it's just made invisible beyond the teammate panel.
