I had a HUD mod that didn't show conflicts, oh my god xD

I haven't found any of those either.

I meant hudlayout.res, I forgot it's a .res

There aren't really conflicts using hudlayout.txt... so...

@SP1CY check your addons menu or console for coflict info. I know that these days it can be complicated since users often have tons of addons that conflict. If you have many conflicting addons, then it's probably to see it from console ( it reports which addons conflict ).
What exactly happens here is that some other mod uses hudlayout.txt
This file is commonly modified for any hud mods, especially when introducing some custom elements. Some things like those fancy tank radars, speedometers, they could / would all use it.
Also, quite often a mod contains modifications to files you wouldn't think it would ever would - authors put a lot of stuff in addons without clear mentioning.

Because my mods use a drastically different position for teammate panels in hudlayout.txt from vanilla l4d2 file, any other mods that override it break it and the panels go off screen.
There's other stuff that gets affected too, it's just that teammate panels are most noticeable.

For some reason in-game it only shows my character pannel, for the rest i have to look at the scoreboard, what causes that.

I almost mistook this as a special hud that displayed infected AND survivor hud during versus lol

I don't mod now, but even if I did, thing is, to make model replacement mods, there must be pre-existing models, like from other games etc.

what characters?
