Description
IMPORTANT!
- Please make sure that the Steam Input System is disabled.
You can check this - RMB on the game > Controller > Disable Steam input system
- Open Gothic\System\Gothic.ini and set 'enableJoystick' to '0' if this parameter was changed before.

Intuitiveness and smoothness of control are the main goals of this plugin. Touch the world of Gothic with your hands.

✓ Interactive hints
Interactive hints will help you in mastering the control. You can always customize their appearance or disable them.

✓ Quick access
The plugin has two quick access rings - weapons and items. Use them to always have access to your items.

✓ Automatic naming of saves
Sit comfortably. You do not have to reach for the keyboard, because the plugin itself will give a name to your saves.

✓ Saves rotation
The best analogue of quicksaves for the controller.

✓ Vibration response
Immerse yourself in the game even more. Vibration will allow you to feel your character and everything that happens in the world.

✓ Target locking
The plugin will always help you win. Keeping the enemy in focus will allow you to fight much more effectively.

✓ Stuck protection
Oops! If you get stuck, hold both sticks for a few seconds and the character will reset.

@if there only one way, try to enable steam input as xbox controller emulator with a standard layout
@siwe7, I think the setup is no different from the steam deck. If the built-in controller is not identified automatically, try to enable steam input in xbox controller emulation.

What can I do if the only way for a controller to work is to Enable Steam Input, but because of that the controls are nowhere near the one stated in the mod.

Я вообще не любитель геймпада, и кроме как в слешерах, нигде его не использую. Никогда не думал, что буду играть в готику на геймпаде, но сейчас я на реабилитации после перации, и долго сидеть тупо нельзя, а готику просто люто обожаю, поэтому сей плагин прям очень выручил. Я удивлён, но за день-два прям сопроцентно адаптировался к комфортной игре, огромный респект:steamthumbsup:

Because the DX11 mod uses its own video player, which doesn’t use the original input handler. Therefore, it doesn’t detect gamepad inputs from the plugin and doesn’t skip videos.

After installing DX11 for Gothic 2, it’s no longer possible to skip cutscenes using a controller.
