Costello's Clam Shack

This asset is the fifth in a series of Italia Festival stands. My inspiration came from several small seaside clam shacks in New England. Hence the wood shake siding. Of course calamari and fried shrimp are universally popular but your cims should try the Whole Belly clams or Salt Cod which some call the "prosciutto of the sea."

The food stands are props rather than buildings so that can be placed in a variety of ways for maximum flexibility. The prop would be useful to stage a street festival, to place in a park, at a county fair or amusement park area, on a beach boardwalk, in your nightclub district for late night eats, or possibly on the perimeter of a small downtown parking lot.

I recommend for the prop using Findit mod using the term 'Festival' or 'Clam'. Fine tune placement with MoveIt and Prop snapping.

I have found it can be less than straight forward to place props on street surfaces because the asphalt is technically below the ground as sidewalk level is considered ground. You may initially notice the prop hovering a foot above the street. In this case you will need Prop Snapping and make sure the option for "Allow Prop to Submerge" is enabled.

In terms of dimensions the base of the building is 6M wide by 2.4M deep and 3.2M in height.



This prop is part of my Little Italy collection. The collection focuses on independent Italian American businesses with appealing vintage signage that have endured for decades in places like NYC, Philly, Detroit, St Louis, SF, etc.. Expect to see pasta shops, cheese shops, cafes, bakeries, butchers and much more.


The scale of this asset is very reasonable to real-life. However it seems to be larger than many of the Food trucks published on the workshop which are out of proper scale. Some of these food trucks are only 2.2M tall which is about a meter too short. If you want to use food trucks with the food stands together in close proximity I recommend using Procedural Objects mod to increase the scale of the food trucks in-game.
