[B41] More Simple Traits (MST)

描述
Mod contains three versions:
  • Vanilla - balanced to play with base game/traits.
  • Dynamic - balanced for playing with the Dynamic Traits mod.
  • Mini - contains only traits with +1 to missing skills and balanced with base game/traits.
You only need to choose one of them!

Installing Dynamic Traits mod is not necessary if using the Vanilla version.
I highly recommend using the Vanilla version everywhere except playing with the Dynamic Traits mod. The main reason is the balance of traits cost.

The mod works in single player and multiplayer 41.71+

Main purpose of the mod is about to expand the standard set of traits by adding balanced and understandable traits, which you can use in many variety of builds to improve your game experience.
Fair gameplay is core: every trait cost or give a balanced amount of points.

Mod contains:
- Traits icons in the style of the original game (drawn by me with love);
- Added missing traits (+1 for skills): Foraging, Cooking, Trapping, Carpentry, Metalworking, Mechanic, Electrical, Lightfooted, Nimble, Sneak, Maintenance, Axes, Short Blades, Short Blunt, Long Blades, Spears, Aiming and Reloading.
- New positive traits:
  • "Marathon Runner": +1 Fitness; +1 Running; can run a little longer without getting tired.
  • "Relentless": +1 Strength; +1 Nimble; have a chance to consume less endurance while attacking with melee weapons.
  • "Way of the Ninja": +1 Sneak; +1 Lightfoot; restores endurance while sneaking.
  • "Mushroom picker": increased chance to find mushrooms in search mode; can recognize poisonous mushrooms and berries; + 1 Foraging.
  • "Taut": +1 Strength; +1 Fitness.
  • "Thick Blood": reduced bleeding damage.
  • "Sniper": +3 Aiming
  • "Generator Expert": can operate and fix generators.
  • "Accumulated Metabolism": +30% XP for Strength and Fitness if not hungry.
  • "Optimist": Bored less. Can resist depression for long time.

- New negative traits:
  • "Slack": -1 Strength, -1 Fitness;
  • "Weather Sensitive": headaches while raining or when the weather changes.
  • "Panic Attacks": sometimes suffers from panic attacks. any panic passes slower.
  • "Allergic": sneezes involuntary from time to time.
  • "Depressive": Often sad. Can fall into depression without reasons.
  • "Sensitive Digestion": overeating can cause pain and nausea.
  • "Liquid Blood": increased bleeding damage.
  • "Owl": drowsiness accumulates faster in the morning, but slower in the evening.
  • "Lark": drowsiness accumulates faster in the evening, but more slowly in the morning.
  • "Sore Lego": legs hurts while walking, running, fitness and stomping.
  • "Alcoholic" (only for vanilla): easily tolerates strong drunkenness; overall condition will worsen if alcohol not been drunk for a long time.

- Some traits increase the chance of finding items in Search mode (foraging).
- Mutually exclusive traits: when taking the Clumsy trait, you cannot take the Lightfoot trait (+1 Light step); Owl cannot be taken with Lark and so on.
- Sleeping traits disabled for multiplayer of SleepNeeded and SleepAllowed are turned off.

Traits are rebalanced from time to time to reach the ideal state.
So don't be surprised if your favourite trait gets nerfed or buffed.
I always read feedback and trying to be competent about balance.


Compatibility with mods:
  • More Description for Traits - full support.
  • Dynamic Traits - full support in the Dynamic version. You can earn many traits (more info in description).
  • More Traits - limited support (disabled traits: strong back, weak back, heavily bleeding wounds, weakly bleeding wounds).

In future updates: work on balance and adding new traits. Make sure that the mod becomes the baseline for all players who love balanced gameplay.

Translations: English, Russian, German, Chinese, Portuguese Brazilian, Spanish, Italian, French, Thai, Polish, Turkish, Korean.

@hea As I was looking in to my issues, I figured out it was the More Capacity for Inventory mod conflicting. Then I saw a fix on that mod page for your SOTO mod. As long as I've been using MST, I never knew SOTO existed! I would much prefer using SOTO and apparently I can fix my issue using it. Thank you so much for taking your time to respond to me. You helped guide me in the right direction and I found a much better mod (SOTO) in the process. Thanks!

@FoOLkiLLeR I really have no idea how to help you because mod is working completely fine since the last update.
Maybe you using some incompatible mods but I don't sure.
Max weight with 10 str suppose to be 20
With Strong Back 22

@hea Hey, I played for about 1 game day today and the Strong Back trait never kicked in. This was on my server with a character that already had 10 strength. Strong Back was added via admin powers. As I mentioned, it also doesn't seem to work when I start a new character with strength already at 10 and Strong Back. The max carry weight is always the same for a 10 Strength character (with or without Strong Back).

I also used admin powers on my server to add Low Sweating and Marathon Runner to a character and they don't seem to work either. I still sweat and sprinted the same as without the traits.

I'll try doing some more testing when I can and see if there is a mod conflict. Only other trait mod I use is More Description for Traits. Let me know if you have any other ideas for me to try to get these to work mid game on multiplayer. Thanks!

@FoOLkiLLeR you need one game hour to see changes if you changes strength or adding/removing trait with debug.

Does Strong Back not provide any extra bonus if you start out with 10 Strength/10 Fitness? Or do I have a mod conflict? I tested this by taking Strong Back and using -debug to give 10 Strength and the carry weight maxes out at the same amount as if I had 10 Strength without Strong Back. I tested it again by starting with Strong Back, Taut, Athletic, & Strong to start out with 10 Strength and the max carry weight was still the same as if not having Strong Back.

@hea a question if yu can reply. The trait "Relentless" how much reduce endurance while attacking? I tried several times and it seems to don't have real effects
