Toggle Fog Of War

Beskrivelse
Adds a button in the top left to toggle fog of war.

I like to check on the state of the world from time to time, so I had to turn on/off a mod all the time. When Change Starting Settlement came out I had the idea to take the disable/enable of the fog of war as a standalone button.

So big thanks to Change Starting Settlement for giving me the idea.

It is save game compatible and should be compatible with everything. Yes Old World works.

Mod not working?
  • Read this.
  • Use the default launcher.
  • Disable ALL mods.
  • Enable ONLY this mod.
  • Start a new campaign.
  • Check if it works.

If it works but not with other mods, then one of those other mods has broken scripts. And yes even Mod Managers can break mods!
This mod is literally only a few lines of code that uses the simplest of functions. It is very unlikely that this mod breaks.

Removing the mod mid playthrough
Make sure to create a save with fog of war enabled before turning the mod off.

Known Issues:
  • you need to toggle fog of war off/on twice when loading a save with fog of war turned off

I have a question - is there any way to create a script that reveals everything terrain related BUT not the armies/factions etc? I guess it is hardcoded but if there is any way I would love to know. I am asking purely because by accident I realized that saving when the fow is off will result in some terrain elements being loaded upon reloading - but not all. It would be amazing if this were possible. Thank you.

There was never a need for an update. I have only ever changed a comment inside the code because an update needs at least some change to register.

the only thing the update does is remove the "outdated" info. I don't have the game installed to do that at the moment. I might do that at some point but the mod has always worked and will continue to work unless CA completely changes how the engine works. (which they won't)
