About This Mod
This is a simple mod that will display the class icons for non-standard Hero classes instead of the faction's icon.

The class icons will show in the promotion screen, soldier list, soldier details, and in the tactical list.

NOTE: This mod does nothing special on its own. It requires OTHER mods to add custom hero classes with unique class icons before you will see anything special.

F.A.Q.
  • Q: Why is <insert class here> icon not showing up?!
  • A: This mod swaps out the faction flag icon for the class icon assigned to the class.
    • Verify the class itself has a valid icon image which displays content.
    • The simplest way to verify a class has a properly displaying class icon is to use Yet Another F1.
    • Go into a battle with the class, hit F1 on the unit and look in the upper left-hand corner. Whatever image you see in this screen should be the same image you see everywhere this mod touches.
    • If it looks like there is no class icon showing, the class may have set the class icon to a blank image on the assumption that the class did not need a special class icon due to Hero classes normally inheriting the faction flag instead of a custom class icon.
    • If you wish to revert a class to using the faction flag icon, comment out or delete the +IconImage="img:///SomeExampleClassIconString" line in the XComClassData.ini definition for the class in the class mod.

Known Conflicts
These mods will keep the custom icon from displaying.

Not a mistake, but rather I would assume a conscious choice as before the class icon was irrelevant since the game used the faction flag for all hero unit class icons.

Ah oops, then it's a mistake on the skirmisher knight creator's part?

@TrooperCoon Did some research, and the class icon for the skirmisher knight is literally a blank icon. I updated this mod to default back to the base faction icon if the custom class does not have a class icon, so the simplest way to get it showing as it originally did would be to comment out or delete the +IconImage="" line in the SkirmisherKnight class data.

it's missing in both the armory screen and promotion screen

@TrooperCoon Thanks for the report. I will look to see what is going on and why the class icon isn't showing up right. Can you tell me more about which screens the icon is missing from?

Too bad two of PZ's own custom classes are very buggy. The Scythe will somehow get every class item, even Sparks. While Psion's amp don't show up in the character pool some stupid reason.
