EF64 (1000 series, updated color) This locomotive was the last DC electric locomotive manufactured by JNR, but in the 2000s, the equipment and paint were renewed and it came to be called the renewal color.
This locomotive was developed as an improved version of the existing EF64 (0 series) to tow cargo on the mountain line with many slope sections.
It has the same EF64 model name as the 0s and 1000s, but it is a completely different vehicle.

For the sake of distinction, it seems that EF64 (0 series) is called "Roku Yon Zero" and EF64 (1000 series) is called "Roku Yon Sen".
Currently, all EF64 (0 series) have been scrapped, but EF64 (1000 series) has been updated and is still in operation.
The KoKi 106 is a container car that has been manufactured in large numbers since the late 1990s and is still in use today.
