This mod adds a number of blocks to the game which previously were only available in large grid versions. They all have full custom models in the standard Space Engineers style and their output has been balanced to levels that correspond to their size in comparison to their large grid counterparts.

AQD - A Quantum of Depth is a project of mine, encompassing multiple small and larger mods aimed at improving the gameplay experience and eventually overhauling larger parts of the game:





5 Small Grid Blocks
More blocks might be added in the future but as always I'll be carefully considering which blocks to add and try to keep the number as low as possible.
  • Small Grid Basic Assembler
  • Small Grid Basic Refinery
  • Small Grid Jumpdrive
  • Small Grid Gravity Generator
  • Small Grid Bed

The mod also converts the following blocks to be available on small grid as well:
  • Freight 1
  • Freight 2
  • Freight 3

  • The Small Connector is currently able to connect to the normal size connectors. We hope to change this in the future with a custom script to prevent them from connecting.
  • Note that there might be compatibility issues with any other mod adding small grid versions of the above blocks. The mod order in your savegame will determine which takes precendence and thus appears as a pair with each of their large grid equivalents but all of them should be listed if you use the search in the G menu.
  • I've included compatibility with AQD - Vanilla Tech Tree, so it should integrate seamlessly.

Nvm happens even with the prototech jump drive on vanilla, dunno what's going on.

My jump drives on my small grid ship are always stuck at 5km range and when I try to jump, it always says "Jump was aborted, distance too short". It doesn't seem to matter where I aim my ship or if it's set to a GPS point (and yes I am aware it doesn't work within gravity wells).

hey would you consider adding small grid variants of the new survival blocks when the update comes our way? i love the style of this mod in particular for blocks and such

I have no means to hide a block only in MP so the issue is likely either a mod incompatibility or having a mod installed that hides it / overwrites its position in the G menu.

At this point I do have to wonder why this particular mod exists. Between the small ship mega mod and updates everything in this mod is already in game.
