Descriptions:
The New Flyer Industries D40LF was the standard diesel transit bus and first of New Flyer's line of low floor buses. The User Friendly Bus regular production of the D40LF began in 1991, and the city of Atlanta, Georgia, USA - purchased fleets in different varieties of these and other New Flyer models in 1994, it was also used to transport visitors in the 1996 Summer Olympic games and in 2001 it would eventually be the primary bus for the city and many regional areas of Georgia until 2007.

There are two types of buses to choose from - one’s with an AC unit and one’s without an AC unit, this was for authenticity reasons - including using a different back door for the CCT bus.

Changes:

1. The sound was replaced from the original sound set to the new sound that last up to 5 minutes on long roads

2. To make this authentic - all back doors on all marta and Atlanta regional buses are now locked they will not open at any stops, only the front door will open.

3. the first bus listed below are the clean versions with no advertisements.

Known issues:

1. Decals on windows are transparent on one side of the bus, there is no fix for this - the windows need to be introverted via the model.

2. When using the mod “unlocks all 1890” or any unlock all mod, due to some strange reason the bus driver becomes a one from the 1890’s. I don’t have a fix if you are using such mods, but if not then all buses will unlock at the year 2000 with the proper driver.

3. New sound set will cut out at times but zoom out and zoom in should fix that issue.
