Count Eldred: Elector Count of Solland (Revamped)

This is an reupload of my mod, Count Eldred, with new features.


"In the centuries preceding the invasion, Solland had begun to fall on increasingly difficult times. Located in the heart of the Electoral and Sigmarite lands, Solland’s Counts pursued policies that continually put the province at odds with the Emperor, and more importantly, the Grand Theogonist, most notably in attempting to arrange a marriage between the royal line of Solland and the Grafs of Middenheim. The Sigmarite faith had a great deal of strength in Solland but it was the opinion of province’s Electors that the message of Sigmar was one of unity and not the sectarian strife which dominated Imperial politics. When the hammer blow of the Ironclaw fell on Averland, Eldred von Heugenloewd, Count of Solland, was quick to marshal his forces despite his marginalized position at the Imperial court."


This mod converts the Golden Order (Balthasar's) faction into the Grand Barony of Solland, with this mod's main attraction: Count Eldred von Heugonloewd, the Elector Count of Solland.

FEATURES
  • Converts the Golden Order into the Grand Barony of Solland, with custom faction effects, banner, and new faction leader/elector
  • New Legendary Lord: Count Eldred von Heugonloewd, with his own custom skill tree revolving around archery and defense
  • Balthasar Gelt is moved to Reikland faction and can be spawned by building the Altdorf Colleges of Magic
  • 1 new RoR: The Knights of Solland Eternal
  • 2 new units: Archers (Longbows) and Pfeildorf Noble Archers
  • 1 new building chain : Archery Range
  • Available only in Solland
  • A little bit of lore about Eldred in his skill tree :D
  • Balanced for vanilla

NEW CHANGES
  • Almost completely converts the Golden Order into the Grand Barony of Solland, with custom faction effects, name changes, banner, and new faction leader/elector
  • Balthasar Gelt is moved to Reikland (Franz’s) faction, he will be recruitable after building the Altdorf Colleges of Magic
  • Makes Count Eldred the faction leader and elector of Solland
  • Revised skill tree and new look for Eldred
  • New look + standard bearer + officer for Pfeildorf Noble Archers
  • New look + standard bearer + officers for Knights of Solland Eternal

NOTES
  • I CANNOT CHANGE THE FACTION SELECTION SCREEN. Doing so will need to edit both Balthasar Gelt and the startpos, which will make it incompatible with A LOT of mods.
  • PLEASE IGNORE THE PLACEHOLDER FACTION EFFECTS. I can't edit faction bundles for some reason.
  • THIS MOD DOESN'T EDIT BALTHASAR GELT. It only moves him to the Reikland faction. As such, mods for him should be compatible, however, mods affecting the Golden Order faction itself will likely be incompatible.
  • The extra effects that are not featured on the starting trait and the faction effects are the bonuses that come with being the Elector Count of Solland.

For some reason I cant start the battle with gelt for his staff. Any idea?
Normally the icon of the Lord appeares but in this case there is no icon and the teleport function is greyed out. I event cant right click the fighting location.

Gotta make their banner distinct from Averland.
It might be lore-friendly but it's very confusing in-game to have two, neighbouring factions of the same race with an almost identical emblem.

you likely have a script break, some other mod's scripts are probably not working. its not because of this mod

Hi, dear author of this great mod.Since 1 and a half week Lord Eldred doesn't appear when playing Solland. Instead I have 2 times Balthasar Gelt - one Gelt for Solland instead of Eldred and one that I can recruit in Altdorf. How is this possible ? It never happend before.:steamhappy:

What you did with unit descriptions? I play in russian and they are in english! How i can change it in PFM or else?
