This mod allows you to upgrade your dwarf infantry units with support officers: Apprentice Runesmiths and Brewmasters. Apprentice Runesmiths provide runic repair and maintenance support to dwarf armies as part of their Runesmith training. Brewmasters are in charge of liquid logistics for dwarfen armies on the march, and join in during any scraps that may occur.

Both upgrades cost 500 gold and the unit receives an officer as part of the unit in battles, a passive ability provided by the officer (Lodestone Armour and In High Spirits in the screenshots), and scrap upgrades that cost Oathgold to further customize the unit with runes or selections of ales.

The amount of support officers you can have as a faction is capped by buildings: using the Smithy chain for Apprentice Runesmiths and the Tavern chain for Brewmasters.

Available for all dwarfen infantry units, with some exceptions:
RoR units don't get to pick upgrades, mod is intended as a way to customize your vanilla units.
Irondrakes don't get either upgrades, they have such a low model count and a specific role that I skipped them.
Ironbreakers don't get Apprentice Runesmiths, they wear gromril armour and Apprentice Runesmiths aren't worthy of touching that.

The main Upgrade Units mod is required, but you can disable all the upgrades the main mod comes with if you so wish, details on that mod's page.

The mod also contains one new normal unit: Barrel O' Bugman's. It's a barrel of Bugman's XXXXX carried by two of his rangers, see screenshot. It's a support unit that is terrible in melee, provides a regen and vigour aura. Recruitment unlocked and capped by the dwarf tavern chain.

No plans for SFO or CTT currently.
All other mods that change Dwarf infantry unit stats need a separate submod, otherwise things will work but the new units from this mod won't be balanced stat-wise.
Get this submod if you plan on playing as Grimm Burloksson from Mixu's Legendary Lords 2.
