Vehicle Chop Shop [B41]

Vehicle parts are now more distinct depending on their type. Most parts weigh slightly less and can be turned into scrap metal or small metal sheets. Some parts can even be made with scrap metal and other metal parts depending on your Mechanics and Metalworking skills.

All included recipes don't require any books or magazines to learn and all of them give small amounts of Metalworking experience. They are all placed in a custom category called: Vehicle

Already existing / found vehicle parts won't have the updated stats! You either have to find / craft / spawn new parts in ongoing saves or start a new game for all stats to update correctly.

Some parts found on shelves and containers are better than the stuff already found/installed on vehicles. So go out there, search for and hoard these car parts or install them in your cars.

Four options to choose from! Each can be used separately or all of them together:
- All Vehicle Doors are lighter and Double Doors have more health.
- All Battery Types can be turned into other types with Electric Wire.
- All Hoods are lighter and have more health depending on vehicle type.
- All Seats are lighter and have higher capacity depending on vehicle type.
- All Windshields are lighter and have more health depending on vehicle type.
- All Glove Boxes are lighter and have higher capacity depending on vehicle type.
- All Trunks are lighter and have increased capacity which is no longer affected by condition.
- All Gas Tanks are lighter and can hold more gas/fuel. Capacity is still affected by condition.
- Valu Tires wear out faster and provide less benefits, as motivation to find better tires.
- Normal tires now provide better traction and last longer on offroad surfaces.
- Performance Tires provide better traction and last longer on roads and asphalt.
- Heavy-Duty Regular Tires provide much better traction and last longer on offroad surfaces.
- Sports Performance Tires provide much better traction and last longer on roads and asphalt.
- Old Brakes wear out faster and have weaker braking, as motivation to find/make better parts.
- Performance Brakes wear out slower and have higher braking force than Regular Brakes.
- Heavy-Duty Performance Brakes wear out very slowly, but braking force is only slightly better.
- Sports Performance Brakes have very high braking force, but they wear out just as fast.
- Old Mufflers wear out faster and are much louder, as motivation to find/make better parts.
- Performance Mufflers are slightly more silent to nearby Zombies and wear out a bit slower.
- Heavy-Duty Perfromance Mufflers reduce noise much better compared to all Average Mufflers.
- Sports Performance Mufflers are lighter and wear out slower compared to all Average Mufflers.
- Performance Suspensions are lighter, wear out slower and provide better damping.
- Heavy-Duty Performance Suspensions provide better compression than damping.
- Sports Performance Suspensions provide better damping than compression.
- Make Standard or Average Brakes and Mufflers from Old parts of that same type.
- Make Big Seats and Standard or Big Gas Tanks from smaller parts of that same type.
- Make Performance Brakes, Mufflers and Suspensions from Standard parts of that same type.
- Make all sorts of Hood and Trunk Lids from Metal Sheets and Scrap Metal or Heavy-Duty Lids.
- Turn (cut out) Heavy Duty Windshields into other types of Windshields and Car Windows.
- Turn one type of Double Car Doors into two Rear Car Doors or two Front Car Doors.
- Turn (cut off) Big Seats back into Standard or Small Seats of that same type.

- Because of the increased vehicle storage, all cars have slightly improved engine power, tire traction and top speeds to help with increased loads and towing of other cars or storage trailers.

- Emergency Services vehicles (Police Car, Fire Van, Ambulance) are now actually faster and can take more damage than normal cars of that same type. Also safer to drive in, less broken bones!

- Vanilla car models have slightly improved pre-installed parts, though car parts found in containers or shelves are still usually better to encourage finding parts or dismantling cars.

This option will also overwrite vanilla car changes done by all other mods, such as Eggons Worthwile Cars and Def's Long Term Survival. I'll make patches if necessary .

ITEM TWEAKER API REQUIRED! Certain vehicle parts now have a different icon that represents their quality, so they are easier to tell apart at a glance. Includes custom icons for these mods:
- Aquastar Yacht Club
- M113 Military Carrier
- Military Vehicle Parts

- Make Scrap Metal from Brakes, Gas Tanks, Mufflers, Suspensions or Tires (Metalworking 4)
- Make Small Metal Sheets from Hood Lids, Trunk Lids or (Double) Car Doors (Metalworking 4)
- Make Spare Engine Parts from Scrap Metal, Wire, Screws (Mechanics 4 & Metalworking 2)

- This mod is compatible with all other mods and custom vehicles that use original car parts.
- Car Tires can't be made, only found, due to lack of appropriate resources or crafting methods.
- For balancing reasons, you can only make Hood and Trunk Lids from scrap metal / sheets,
all other vehicle parts require existing parts of the same or lesser quality to make them.
