On July 6th, 1997, "Big Daddy" Gary Goodridge took part in the International Vale Tudo Championship tournament in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In the first round of the touranment, Goodridge bull rushed Augusto Menezes Santos, catching him in a standing facelock before applying one of the most unique submissions in MMA history, trapping both of Santos's arms while forcing his head down, slamming him to the mat and cranking his neck at an awkward angle for the win.
