Tales of Ireland

Welcome to Tales of Ireland, a mod for Crusader Kings III. With the help of a wonderful team, I am proud to present this mod to you.
We invite you to dive into Irish mythology, this mod being inspired by the Lebor Gabála Érenn, the Book of Invasions.

Ireland is inhabited by a large number of different tribes from the cruel Fomorians to the prestigious Milesians. The Milesian kept control over the island for centuries until the Celts came to Ireland and destabilized their power. With the Milesians weakened it is time for all tribes to fight for their liberty and to claim the Emerald isle.
The map we have created is one of the most detailed map of Ireland you can find in any strategy game.

The starting year is in 4800 After Creation, which roughly corresponds to 400 BC. We have created a condensed timeline so that you can make your kingdom thrive from the Heroic Era until the Arrival of Christianity.



A big map : More than 1000 counties dispatched among 32 kingdoms, a very in-depth map of Ireland and beautiful environment (WIP)

Dynamic Cattle : Development now plays a much bigger role in your Realm, with 3x the bonuses from Vanilla. A robust event system and new Casus Belli lets it fluctuate wildly, rapidly shifting the balance of power unlike anything seen in CK3. It is now called Cattle, and the prosperity of your Realm will be tied to your Cattle herds, opening up new strategies and opportunities.

High King : The High King of Ireland is elected among all independent Kings of Ireland and wields great power and unique bonuses, will you be able to keep this title and subjugate your rivals ?

Ancient Partition : With ancient times comes ancient succession. When a ruler dies with this new succession law all his heirs share his land and become independent but if you are prestigious enough and your sons are already landed, you will be able to impose a single heir.

New Lifestyles : Gain experience points for these lifestyles that don't have foci to acquire new powerful perks for your character and make him join the ranks of legendary heroes and rulers.

Mannin : You can also play in the isle of Mann and try to unite it under one ruler.

Invasions : Try to fight the successive Hy-Brasilian, Fianna and Roman invasions.

Magic : Become a magician and use your powers to rule over Ireland.

Clans : Found your own clan and spread your influence accross the Emerald Island.

Dark creatures : Become a Vampire or a Wolfwalker and try to survive against your enemies.

Our next two objectives are to add south Scotland and enrich all the features already present!
