The MP36PH is one of the latest classes of American commuter locomotive. First seeing daylight in 2003, it quickly overcame teething troubles to be a favorite of both upstart services and some of the older commuter railroads.

The gallery cars this one pulls only come in stainless-steel - such a configuration is accurate for the Virginia Railway Express and Metra. Much more often, these engines pull Bombardier Bilevels. One, however, may argue Kato's starter sets give this arrangement much more visibility. However, considering you'll presumably be using these to set up your dream commuter service...

The engine comes with 3 decals - one black-roof which looks best in black, a GO transit-alike scheme and just plain, all-over color.

Could you change the maximum speed of the cab car? I don't believe it's 100 kph, which seems far too low, and I think it's more like 100 MPH /160 kph, as you have correctly given to the standard cars.
