Reupload of "Arctic" terrain by Variable.A with his permission. Check out his maps on Workshop: click here.

I do not claim any privileges nor intellectual property concerning any part of this mod. The reupload has been done for the sake of easier management of mods in mod presets. This mod is not, and will not be, updated, modified or monetized. Every issues, suggestions and feedback should be sent directly to the map's author.

Map's about 20x20km big, basically an arctic region with many icebergs, four scientific sites/bases including a platform-like station. No grass, no rocks at all, no trees. No footsteps on custom buildings, many custom-made walls can be penetrated by low-calibers. Map theme suggests some future-warfare Russian military base with radars, submarines and more.

Ace, Pretty sure if you just switch the season, the sun DOESN'T set. It's not a map thing, it's a location of the world thing in the Arma engine. Just change the date of the year.

Allow me to rephrase.

Necessary for immersion because I'm a nerd who likes those little details, but still very optional. :B

The map is still awesome on its own--yet I can see plenty of reason to NOT make it so the sun barely rises in the sky for reasons of gameplay.

Not necessary, otherwise I would add it as a dependency.

But worth loading for cool visuals.

@Etrixik, no. I uploaded the mod as-is and I will not update or modify it in any way. Images seen in the slideshow should be enough to know what map is this.
