描述

This addon adds sliding ability while you use other weapons.

Mantle + Wallrun and [VManip] Vaulting for enhanced experience!

Features

Sprint + crouch to slide anytime! You can use weapons, too!
Going downward while you slide slightly increases your speed, like other games
Third person animation
Compatible with leg mods like Gmod Legs 3 and Enhanced Camera
Somewhat configurable via console variables

ConVars

sliding_ability_tilt_viewmodel (default: 1)
If 1, view model will tilt while sliding like Apex Legends.
sliding_ability_acceleration (default: 250)
The acceleration/deceleration for sliding. Larger value makes shorter sliding distance.
sliding_ability_cooldown (default: 0.3)
The cooldown time to be able to slide again in seconds.
sliding_ability_cooldown_jump (default: 0.6)
The cooldown time to be able to slide again when you jump while sliding, in seconds.

Known Incompatibilities

PAC3 breaks the third person animation.

FAQ

Q. What is the weapons in the video?
A. They are HAVOC Rifle and Wingman from TFA-based Apex Legends SWEPs,
which are removed from the workshop for some reason now.

Q. What are maps in the screenshots and the video?
A. gm_fork (the video and the first screenshot), Grottopolis (the second one), and gm_construct (the third one).

Q. What are the player model used in the screenshots and the video?
A. Apex Legends - Pathfinder (in the video), Mirage (Apex Legends) (1st screenshot), CS:S SWAT (2nd one), and Dummies (3rd one).

Q. I can't press shift and ctrl at the same time!
A. Adding a key to crouch may help you slide.
For example, entering bind C +duck adds C for another crouch key.
You might also find it helpful to use ToggleCrouch or Toggle Duck/Crouch.

Q. I can't fire some weapons while sliding. Any fix?
A. Release the sprint key while you slide. It thinks you're still sprinting.

1. https://www.reddit.com/r/gmod/comments/ouk377/toggle_sprintcrouch_commands/ - this is a command to enable toggles for crouch and run. copy the code to SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\cfg\autoexec.cfg

3. with run and crouch set to toggle you can spam jump and it keeps building speed and you slide faster and faster.

nevermind found out the issue, it was the sound muffling mod for some reason. i have no idea why it removed the sliding sound

i dont know why but the mod is playing 'sound/physics/body/body_medium_impact_soft2.wav' whenever i slide... does anyone know how to fix or if a mod could be causing this

this not only lets you slide by sprinting and crouching but also jumping and crouching

could you add an option to temporarily disable? that way if i wanna try something without it real quick (or if someone just gets annoyed by it) i can turn it off without unsubscribing from the whole addon. could be clientside per-person or serverside globally, either works for me. you can kinda do this already by making the cooldown ridiculously huge but then you can't re-enable it easily
