Illegal under the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts*, due to the initial rules meeting having seen traditional martial artists breaking ice blocks with downward elbow strikes, the 12-6 Elbow has still seen some use in MMA, most notably when Jon Jones disqualified himself by utilizing the "Hellbows" against Matt Hamill.


*The 12-6 Elbows are not set as an illegal move in game, figuring that most Fire Pro MMA is closer to Vale Tudo than the Unified Rules.
