Great Southern NR 30

The Great Southern is a brand-new luxury passenger train in Australia. It launched on the 6th of December 2019, and runs from Adelaide to Brisbane (via Canberra, the Aussie capital). It's similar to the Indian Pacific, in the sense that it's a multi-day trip across Australia with off-train activities along the way.

NR's 30 and 31 have been repainted in this distinctive orange livery especially for the service. Previously they had both worn Pacific National blue. Despite it's name, the Great Southern is not to be confused with an Icehouse song named Great Southern Land.
