If you hate waiting for minutes between turns, give this mod a second thought, because fights will spiral out of control and often the best choice is to fall back and sit on your hands while ADVENT and the Hive grind each other down.
I didn't kill the Chryssalid Queen before starting the endgame and was not expecting to see her pop up in the ADVENT Tower mission. Killing her with three colonels was no small feat! It definitely made what's normally a rather lackluster story mission more memorable!
After I melted nearly everything in the room and lost the objective I realized I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, all 10-20 of the chryssalids left only had my scattered and injured troops left to target. I tried to save scum to the best of my ability but since I had a UI that read like a brain rotted delinquent on PCP, I guess I hit "Kill" instead of "Pet" the puppy. Either that or somewhere after the 5th reload trying to save my MVP guardsmen the chosen decided the best course of action was to go into my computer files and destroyed my campaign from the inside.
Overall, good mod,
o7
Sorry it's split up and backwards, oh well
The problem was that once I cleared my way to the building the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ warlock chosen decided to spawn in and started being as annoying as alienly possible. I don't think he even did any damage to us the whole match, he just mind controlled once, called in sewer side bombers and spawned in troops to help kill the lost.
The problem I had was that the bugs were reaching a critical mass, there were less and less Lost spawning in and I didn't realize that we ran out of Lost until I managed to get my MEC on the roof and start spewing in heavenly flames from above. That's when I realized I used up all like 10 grenades/explosives that my team had on deck by trying to crowd clear and blowing the chosen off the roof, and the last few bombs didnt cause any more spawns.
Pt.1:
Man I had no clue this mod was installed until my mission fell apart and I accidentally deleted my Iron Man save. I wanted to get a reskin to match the ADVENT to Star Wars vibe and that's how I found this mod installed.
The story of my lost save is that I had a sitrep where Lost constantly spawn in, and that caused an endless loop of bug gestation and spawning. I went in with a flame thrower MEC, a machine gunner, 2 snipers, skirmisher, and a shotgunner. I noticed the bugs would kill the Lost and form a gestation pit and keep spawning more. My plan was to kill the infectors first and then the gestators(?) since there were less infectors and they add new infectors immediatley. Once I learned the gestators(?) were weak to fire I decided to burn them all alive and trying to shoot them from a distance. They were mostly inside a warehouse, attacking my objective and getting jumped by 50+ lost.
Great mod though. Worked flawlessly when I played it.
