Too Many Voices

Too Many Voices is a complete dialogue and voiceover enhancement mod that aims to create unique voiceovers for every single unit, announcement and narration piece in the game. All dialogue is an original creation and recorded from scratch by actors and edited with appropriate SFX, thus delivering a bespoke vibe to each faction and enhancing the overall atmosphere of the gameplay.

Here is progress as it currently stands:

Remaining "Onslaught Pack" unit to be voiced (Squighog Boy)

Remaining "Onslaught Pack" unit to be voiced (Rubric Marine)

Remaining "Onslaught Pack" unit to add SFX to (Canoptek Reanimator)

All units bar the recent "Onslaught Pack" unit (Sicarian Ruststalker), research and ability announcements have been voiced. Their encountered, defeated and story narration lines will be added in a future update.

The Space Marines are next in line and are currently being scripted. They will receive a full overhaul of their voiceovers to bring them up to par with the latest factions in the mod, as well as add their respective research and ability lines. Narration will follow in a future update once the commonly played gameplay voiceovers are complete.

We actually have some early takes for both the announcer and narrator, but they were done quite a while ago and we may revisit these with the original actor who initially did them to see if he wants to revamp or make any changes to them before publishing to the mod. Will try and complete this in and around the same time as the Adeptus Mechanicus recordings due to the dialogue being from the perspective of one of their Techpriests.

The newest faction to be added. Not a faction I'm familiar with so I'll need to do a bit of homework on them, but seem perfectly doable from a brief skim read of their lore.

What exists at the moment for the most part is what really could be considered something of a "first pass" on the units. The goal being to revamp the faction in full at a later date with a more updated character design philosophy, new scripts, better vocal SFX, new announcer and all that fun stuff.

Alas this will be waaaay down the line as it stands right now and depends heavily on if actresses can be found who are willing to help out with the voiceover. So for a while the Sisters will alas have to be somewhat mute.

Compatible with basically everything that doesn't change voice lines. Updates should not break this mod.
