Project Estros: Vehicle Pack

Hey! I'm back after another multi-week hiatus! And this time, I'm not just bringing you some assault rifles with default animations, how exciting!


Before, you could only test vehicles in the test mod pack, which received irregular updates, and was packaged with outdated or unwanted mods. The test mod pack will still be supported, just less now that the majority of the vehicles have been released from it. But now, they're in their own pack that can be separately updated and not take 48 minutes to make updates for. But enough talk, here are some descriptions of the vehicles in this pack.

The Autocar, better known by it's Ostroran designation, the Tj. Sirmit Auto, or SmtA-3, is an Ostroran produced armored car based off of civilian models, Earlier variants were no match for the Mt.67 tankette, the Wespadi counterpart, but later variants were upgunned and uparmored. There are 3 variants, Infantry Support (IS) mounts a 110mm direct fire mortar, Anti Tank (AT) mounts a 7.8mm machine gun and 25mm AT gun (whoops forgot the MG in the pic sorry) and the MG variant mounts, you guessed it, 2 7.8mm MGs. In an attempt to be able to deal with Mt,67s, AP round belts are issued to MG variants. The SmtA-3 saw usage with Ostror and Estros.

The M44 "Whiptail", officially Armored Car, Model 44, "Whiptail", is an Estronian vehicle designed to combat Wespadi tankettes. It has 2 sponson HMGs with FMJ and AP belts, AP doing little damage to infantry but damage to armor (AP does very little damage against infantry, use FMJ) It also has a 50mm cannon on a rotating platform on the back, and a 7.8mm ball turret in the front. An uparmored variant, M44 "Tarantula", also mounts an SmtA-3 AT turret on top, while also getting rid of AP belts for the HMGs.

The Mt.67 tankette, officially Motell-67 Reacon Tanck, is a lightweight speedy tankette used en masse by Wespad. Its armor is puny, its 25mm gun is pathetic, its crew is easily overwhelmed... but they usually outnumber your average Estronian tank 5 to 1. The tankette was pushed back into a second-lines role after the Wespadi-Ostroran war, when new tank designs appeared, leading to many modifications and variants. Who knows? Maybe in the next war, they may once again see mass service.

The Mt.69 light tank, officially Motell-69 Reacon Tanck, is essentially an upsized Mt.67 tankette. It has a more powerful 50mm gun, and a ball turret in the front, along with the same coaxial MG as the .67. Although it is effectively superior in every way minus weight and speed, Wespad seems cautious to adopt them. The Mt.69 is barely a match for its "counterpart", the M44 "Whiptail", and less so for the "Tarantula" variant. Still, its low profile and more powerful gun allow it to succeed in some situations where the M44 would fail.
