Basic info
Really simple mod made as a request. In essence, it seriously nerfs character jetpacks.

Updates
18 September 2020
  • Re-enabled hydrogen bottle blueprint.
  • Characters can now set relative dampeners. Absolute still will not set.

Features
  • Disables character inertial dampeners. Unless using relative dampeners.
  • Reduces backpack thrust to roughly 20% of the original thrust.
  • Increases backpack hydrogen drain in space by 5x.
  • Reduces backpack hydrogen drain on planets.
  • Reduces amount of hydrogen in hydrogen bottles to 1 full refill.

You will want to use mag boots. Also you will no longer be able to fly on a full g planet. Such as earth-like.

Is it possible to force grids to behave similar in regards to only having relative dampeners?

I checked. Does appear to be working. Potentially you could try, resubscribing (unsubscribe, let Stream delete the mod, and then resubscribe) as Steam may not have downloaded it correctly.

Is it possible that the thrust is now at vanilla strength since the last patch? Something feels off; Or is it just me...

@TwistedGrim Conditionally yes. If you are re-uploading for a re-balanced version, or using it as a basis for a larger version/mod-pack. I am cool with that.

Do you mind if we reupload with some changes for our server? We need a few adjustments that are outside of what you have changed for a more difficult survival scenario.

I love this mod, expecially the semi-nodampener feature! Imho the relative dampener is still balanced because it uses tons of hydrogen, it is just right.
Forced it onto our server and replaced JetpackNerf with it. ^^
