Philippine Bangka Outrigger (Ferry)

The bangka -- also known as banca and paraw -- is a double-outrigger boat ubiquitous in the Philippines.

Indeed, there seem to be only two or three common features of bangkas: their main hulls are always narrow; they are always double-ended; and they almost always have two outriggers. They are very versatile and sometimes called the "jeepneys of the sea".


This pack includes 3 total assets (see thumbnails)


You can have total control of what will spawn from your ferry depot by using Improved Public Transport 2 by Bloodypenguin.

At first thanks for the nice assets. I am working on a city based on Lagos in Nigeria and they have an interesting community in the lagoon called "Makoko". There and in many other regions they use long but narrow wood boats similar to yours but without outrigger. I'd like so much to use such a boat but after searching the whole workshop i couldn't find such a vehicle. So would it be much work for you to release a similar or the same boat with no outrigger for the workshop? I'd be so thankful. :) Or if that is to much work for you, could you give me the original 3d-model file, that i can try to remove them. Thanks in advance.

do you think it can go with boats spawner now that we have Harbor DLC? Or does it need some re-doing?

May have to add running lights, too. Also considering about a bigger version with enclosed superstructure, ones that carry 50 passengers and are usually used for inter-island ferries (i.e. Boracay, Guimaras).
